What a Day
Today started out so promising and it has just gone down hill since the moment I stepped out of bed.
Matt ended up going to his Excel class. It is his normal day off, but he signed up for this class a month or so ago. Until late yesterday afternoon we thought he wasn't going to attend because they are putting in some new equipment at work starting tomorrow and he needed to be there. However, the shipment got delayed so his boss called to let him know he was good to go.
Whitney was on the waiting list for the doctor and we wouldn't know until this morning if they could get her in so I had to be at the ready just in case. Well, of course they called and I had to hurry over to get her out of school so she could make the appointment. Since Matt had gone to his class, I was left trying to figure out what to do with the babies while Whit had the appointment. MIL was shockingly unavailable so they went with me. I don't mind taking them with me to the doctor, but this appointment required some input from me on our family history that Whitney was not familiar with and having them made it slightly more difficult. Turned out it was fine though. After waiting for almost an hour we were informed the doctor that we were scheduled to see had gotten called to the hospital after all and we would have to reschedule. Oh great, thanks.
These things happen so it wasn't that huge of a deal, but it just set me way behind on housework. You can see I am making up for that lost time by sitting here blogging. I dropped Whit back off at school, grabbed some lunch for the babies and myself, and headed home. It isn't even 1 yet and I want to go to bed. In less than an hour I have to go pick up the kids from school. I do not see my house getting cleaned today. I will just have to work extra hard tomorrow.
That is all on my front. Oh, the photographer has to come back out for another shoot. It seems that we didn't capture the "essence" of the story so we are going for round 2. Oh well, I can channel my inner Tyra for yet another afternoon. Hope all is well in your world.

Take the afternoon off. It is okay.
Not that you really have time... but I have found it is a good idea to have the family medical history written down as much as possible. That way it is easier to remember things like age when so-and-so had a heart attack or whatever. Also, whenever you need it, you have it! If for some reason something happened to you and you were unconcious, the kids or hubby would be able to give it to the medics/docs. Same thing goes for any meds everyone takes.
When I was a senior in high school, my mom had fainted in the bathroom and hit her head on the toilet (she was thankfully ok). We called the medics and they came - they always ask the meds someone is on. My sister and I had no clue - thankfully my mom was aware enough to be able to tell them. If she would have been unconcious, we wouldnt have been able to tell them.
I hope you have a good day today without any extra stress from yesterday!
o well, take a nap before you have to go get the kids...thats waht I would do. lol. lay on the couch and take a breather
