Taking deep breaths
What a nightmare. As you all know, Whit dropped a bombshell on me yesterday morning. Actually, it wasn't Whitney, it was another family member that let it slip and I think that is what hurts me the most.
Whitney's older brother moved back home a few years ago because he was used to living in a very small town and San Diego was just too much for him. I understood his decisions even though it broke my heart. I never expected Whit to desire to go back to that little town and the more I heard the more I knew this was not something she decided on her own.
We are discussing the options. If her dad lived only a few hours away this would not be such an issue. The problem is that he lives in Arkansas and that is a 4 hour plane ride or a 27 hour drive. She can't just come over for the weekends. When Garrett left, it was difficult, but he was battling some pretty intense demons and we all felt that going back to the simple life might be the best for him. I get the impression she is feeling pressured and just unsure of what she is doing. I honestly feel that had I not confronted her with what I had been told, this conversation would not have come up for some time.
Anyway, I am off to tend to the family. Better blogs are coming. No more drama.

I hope everything works out. I'm sure she's a little confused. Any kid would be in that situation.
I hope something gets worked out.
who is pressuring her?? i hope it works out.
Ok... you answered my question. Yup, that makes it a lot harder since it is so far away. I hope you guys can come to an agreement that you all feel is best.
Drama is part of life, dont feel bad about writing about it.
