  • Random Thoughts Pt. 2 (thanks momaroo)

Okay, I did this long blog and went to post and it was GONE. Take two!

Since everything in my life is so quiet and at peace, I thought I would post some random thoughts from the past week.

Emily's teacher was here on Friday. She is quite pleased with the progress Em is making, but she wants to increase her visits to once a week. Beginning on Friday, we will be meeting with Mary as well as another family for some private classroom time. The other family is Spanish speaking and Mary feels that the little boy would benefit from hearing Caleb speak, so it is a good thing for everyone.

Caleb is excited to be going to school. He just loves Em's teacher so it works out all the way around.

The housing situation remains the same. The landlords have been trying to renegotiate the loan, but the banks have proven uninterested to this point. We have been offered the opportunity to purchase the home as a short sale, but are not sure that we want to commit to purchasing this house. We love the privacy and the large piece of land, but much of that land is slanted and not suitable for building. If we wish to put a pool in down the road, that would take much digging and adding retaining walls. It would not be an inexpensive endeavor. With the market in the state it is, we are pretty confident that the perfect house is out there, we just have to find it.

My brother begins his residency in New York the second week in December. This means that my mom and grandmother will not be alone for the first Thanksgiving following my grandfathers death. I had asked her to comeout here, but she was reluctant to leave my grandmother.

I did speak with my mom this morning about the issue with Whit. I was quite pleased to hear her tell me that she agreed with my decisions in keeping her here until at least the end of the school year. It makes me feel better about my decisions knowing that she is backing me.

I had a discussion with my ex husband yesterday that has inspired a blog. I will be working on it for tomorrow. Buckle your seatbelts, this one could get bumpy.

    Til next time!!

I thought the same thing about waiting til the end of the school year... it is more than just friends and social in switching schools.  No two schools are in the same parts of the cirriculum - if they even have the same requirements.

You are very smart for not rushing into buying the house if it isnt what you want forever!
