It has been a busy few days. Both Emily and Caleb caught colds the day after Christmas and I have had to closely monitor them. Sleep has been something I could only dream about, if only I was able to sleep long enough to dream. They both seem to be on the mend so I am hoping things settle down before New Years.

Yesterday I finally bit the bullet and bought Emily a baby bed. Her being the peanut that she is, she has been in her co-sleeper since she was five months old. Yes, it took her five months to outgrow her bassinet. I was unsure if it was her cold that was keeping her from having a restful sleep or if she had just finally grown too big to sleep comfortably in the co-sleeper.

I began my search for the perfect crib at the same place I look for everything I don't want to invest money in and buy new. Craigslist once again came through for me and I found a beautiful crib within my proposed budget. When I went to purchase the crib, the woman offered me an even better deal because she felt the mattress wasn't the best quality. The mattress was absolutely fine and told her as much, but she said really only wanted the smaller amount. In my quest to continue to put good karma out in hopes of good karma being returned, I had placed Em's co-sleeper up and was asking for just the amount that the crib was costing. When I returned home a buyer had emailed me wishing to come pick it up. I called her and informed her I had received a better deal on my crib and would in turn offer her the same. In the end I had a crib that I loved for a bit less than my proposed budget and a soon to be mommy received a co-sleeper in fantastic condition for an unreal price. It was a good day for all of us.

Last night Matt and I were able to sit down and watch our Chargers try and redeem themselves after what has been a horrific year. Most games are during the day, so it isn't very often Matt gets to enjoy the game. For those that are not from San Diego, let me just say that a really BAD call by a ref in game two against Denver resulted in us losing and having to go into this wildcard spot for the playoffs. Karma came through though and we beat Denver last night in what can only be described as an arse kicking. Go Chargers!!

I am unsure if it is the holidays or the blogs I wrote about my mom and sister, but my dad has been stuck in my head for the last few days. I feel like there is something he is trying to tell me, but I just can't nail it down. I am trying to decide if it is worthy of a blog, but for now I am just trying to relax and listen to what he is saying.

I am diligently (okay, not really diligently, but trying) to work on my 101 list. It really is not as easy as it sounds, but I will have it done soon. I have to, finishing it is on my list. LOL

Have a wonderful and safe New Year. Matt and I will be staying home with the two little ones as always. We have gotten too old for the traffic and craziness that is a New Years Eve outing, so it is pizza and movies for us. If you are going out, be safe.
