  • My babies...the strippers

Yes, you read that right. Caleb and Emily have become strippers. I am not sure when it happened, but I have noticed it these last few days.

Caleb refuses to wear anything  but his undies around the house. I put clothes on him to leave and the moment we hit the inside of the house, off they go. He says he feels better in his undies. Oh well, nobody ever visits and we live in the country. Carry on undie boy.

Emily has been a bit more sneaky about her desire to strip. She absolutely hates socks so I don't even bother to put them on her adorable little feet anymore. Within two minutes of them being on they are off and forever lost. Okay, I am not a fan of anything on my feet so I understand where she gets that from. However, now she seems to not desire to wear a shirt anymore either.

The other day I was almost positive that not only  had I dressed her, but that I had indeed placed a shirt on her little body. Five minutes out of the room and I come back to a topless toddler. At first I thought Caleb had decided she needed to go free, but he was in the back room and had not gone near her. I was slightly perplexed. Shirt is placed back on and I head to the kitchen to watch undetected.

Sure enough, she looks around to see if I am nearby and then slowly starts to work her arms out of the shirt. Within thirty seconds it is gone and she is laughing. At least she hadn't figured out to take her pants off. Oops...she had.

One minute after the shirt came off there went the pants and the diaper. I was staring at a naked baby sitting on my couch watching "Blue's Clues". Short of duct tape, I am unsure how to keep her stripping to a minimum.

I have learned that she can't get her blue jeans off, so she spends most days in those now. Topless of course, because I only have one bodysuit for her and I can't wash it fast enough to keep it on her. The only thing keeping her shirt on is those snaps.

So, I am off to chase a naked baby around and try and convince Caleb that the people at Wal-Mart really don't want to see his Diego undies. I guess this would make me one of those "rednecks" Jeff Foxworthy always jokes about. You might be a redneck if your toddler can work the pole better than a Playboy bunny. LOL

Have a great day! Tomorrow is the dentist, lease signing, and a trip to the school bookstore for my textbook. My first assignment is due midnight Thursday. Nothing like waiting until the last minute! By the way...I hate the dentist so send some good vibes. Someday I will have to blog about my Satanic childhood dentist that terrified me so much that at the age of almost forty I have to take a valium before I head to get my teeth cleaned. (Shivers)

Oh my, I tagged this with the word "strippers". I wonder what kind of hits I might get. Hehe

Lol, this is a great entry!

It reminds me of the day I was in WalMart and saw a half naked three year old running through the men's clothing. What a day. :P

LOL!  I dont like clothes either.  So I cant blame them!!

That's hilarious!  My 3 year old hates socks also.  I can't figure out why he won't wear sock during the winter, his feet are always so cold, but he refuses to wear them in the house.  Oh well, they are his feet.  But lately, he's been taking his shirt off too.  He makes me cold just looking at him, but I figure it's not really worth the fight.  :)  Besides, they are kind of cute when they are running around half dressed.

Tristin is my striper. He is often running around in just underwear. Haha!

well its good to knwo that my 2 year old isn't the only naked wonder around.  Kaitlyn is, most days, in nothing but a diaper, despite mom and dad's best attempts to keep her dressed.  Now a days it seems that the phrase that leaves me mouth most often is "Kaitlyn! Babies wear pants.....and diaper!! Babies wear pants and diaper!!!" lol.  I can't blame her though...as soon as the kids go to bed I usually strip down to my panties and a t-shirt hehe.  The only problem I have with it ist hat Kaitlyn doesn't care if her diaper is wet, poopy or dry, its coming off no matter what. lol.

when does E turn 2??  I don' tknow what but I thought her and Kaitlyn had the same bday.....

lol. Ella went through her stripper phase too. She always wanted to be naked. ALWAYS. Thanks for your comment regarding DS.. it means a lot when you talk to me about it. It is a fear, and I feel like the uncertainty is the biggest problem for me. I don't know if she has it, so it makes me crazy. I wish I knew either way, but I KNOW I wouldn't love her any less if she did have DS, so that's why I don't want to get the amnio done, it's not worth the risk because I know I will love her either way. But seriously, thank you so much for all your awesome words. They really do help!!! <3<3

We had the same childhood dentist?! What are the odds? Good luck with everything tomorrow! (Including keeping clothes on the kiddies whilst running in three different directions!)

I understand the sock thing.  I don't like em either.  Don't even get me started on slippers.  My 2 yr old son doesn't like them either and I've lost have his sock collection. Some day I'll find them...you know when they don't fit anymore.

I so just left a comment on this on the Momaroo front page. Haha. I guess you can check it out there.

But yes... Sean strips. He normally leaves his shirts on though. It is just his pants & diaper that come off... and socks if they are on.
