  • Moving news

We finally signed the lease this morning. It all went fine until she informed us that the March 1st move in was a no go and the broker was pushing us to commit to February 15th. While it isn't a huge deal, we had really wanted to give a full months notice to our landlord. The implication was if we didn't commit to the earlier move in we stood a good chance of losing the house. I am not overly thrilled with this move only because we had paid the deposit with the understanding that we needed thirty days. Oh well, so we move in less than two weeks and our landlord only gets half a month rent. They will be unable to rent the property unless they get the mortgage situation worked out, so there is a strong possibility it will be going back to the bank in a few months anyway.

I survived my dental visit. They were too busy laughing at me to hurt me in any way. My humor once again got me through a difficult time.

We are in full pack mode at this point. I spent the afternoon calling all the different utility places to transfer service. Movers have been hired and we hope to be totally moved in by the 18th.

Emily starts back to school tomorrow. I have been such a slacker when it comes to getting her over there, but now that things have settled down we will resume our weekly sessions with Mary.

I hope to blog something substantial tomorrow. For now I am off to eat dinner and pack a few more boxes. Have a great night!
