  • One of those days

I am so tired that I honestly had to spell check the word "penny" a bit ago. Someone slap me and let me go to sleep. Even now the dang word doesn't look right. Ugh.

Tomorrow I begin the move. If I had the energy, I could actually start moving today, but that is so not happening. The house is in utter shambles and I cease to care. It is really very difficult to get the desire to clean a  home you know you leaving in a matter of days. Every time I decide to clean up the living room; I realize it all just needs to be tossed in a box and taken to the new house.

I decided to head out this morning and try and pick up a few things for the new place. Matt and I will be sharing a closet for the first time in our relationship and we really want to get one of those racks instead. We have a huge dressing area off our bathroom that would be perfect for such a thing so I wanted to get some prices. I also wanted to get a new dish drainer. The new house does not have a dishwasher and the drainer we have is really small. A larger one is an absolute must when you are washing dishes for eight people. I was also in search of a different type of storage for Caleb's clothes. He is constantly pulling everything out of his dresser drawer looking for socks and undies. No matter how often I organize the drawer, he messes it right up. I want to get one of those stackable open container things so that he can see his stuff and won't have to make a mess. I had my plan in place and I was ready for action.

It was a nightmare. I was over thinking everything. Would that color drainer match the new kitchen; did I want medal or plastic; was this one large enough; etc. I then moved on to the storage containers. It was even worse. I will leave out the nightmare that was the clothes racks; it was not a pretty story. Three stores and a bag of goldfish crackers later; I gave up and came home. In my quest for new things; I came home with goldfish.

Note to self: don't shop on two hours sleep.

Finally, as though I don't sound crazy enough; my cell phone just rang. I stood up to go answer it and I couldn't find it. I could hear it plain as day, but I simply could not figure out where it was. Picture a dog chasing its tail and that would be me. I kept hearing it somewhere behind me and was turning in circles trying to locate the sound. Yep, it was in my back pocket. I am an idiot and I need a nap.

Now, for the bit of info I hinted about yesterday. I am still unclear if it is going to come to pass, but I was contacted by a national news/entertainment show yesterday about my renting vs. buying blog. I should know in about a week if the interview is going to go forward. Keep your fingers crossed!

Have a great Friday and a wonderful Valentine's Day. Which reminds me, tomorrow is Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Day. I tried to link a video a dear friend of mine made with some information about CHD, but it wasn't working for some reason. As you know, Emily has CHD and it is an issue very close to my heart. No pun intended. I will try and put the video up again later. It has some facts that everyone should be made aware.

Okay, off to convince the kids that nap's are great fun!

Lol. I was spell checking "friend" the other day when I was writing all of Ella's Valentines to her class. I kept writing To: My Friend Love: Ella.. and after writing about 15 Valentine's I was like.. Omgosh am I spelling "friend" wrong? lol. Sometimes when you're so tired and you look at one word sooo closely that happens. lol. And always with the SIMPLEST words, too. lol. I hope you get some rest. I'll be checking back to see if you got the link to the video posted because my grandfather has a congenital heart deffect too. What kind of defect does Emily have? My grandfather has a deformed mitral lunar valve, and a whole between two of the chambers in his heart... i forget the "official" name they gave us.. Anyways... sorry for this NOVEL of a comment. I hope you get some rest, dear!!!

@AbsolutelyNormalChaos61308@xanga - Emily only had three chambers at birth. I know there is some word for it, but it has escaped my mind. Where the wall should have been between the third and fourth chambers there was two large holes. She had her repair done at eight months old and has been doing fantastic ever since.

I can always post videos, but I don't know if it is just because I am so tired that I am doing something wrong, or if there was something wrong with the site, but all I got to show up was the codes, not the video. Wow, what a run on sentence.

Anyway, I am going to try and post the video again. Anka has such a way of getting the information out there and I really want to get the word out.

Blame "JCPenney".  *passes the Codeine for the kids so that you may have a nap*

@filtered_sunlight - You are so right. I wonder if I could claim to be offended on behalf of all tired women and sue JCP for millions of dollars ala that weird woman suing Miley Cyrus. Something to ponder. LOL
