  • Moving simply sucks

So, I started this move process on Saturday and am really, really sick it. I am going to rant a bit, forgive me.

Whitney has been a huge help, but we are just two people trying to move a household of eight. Saturday went fine mainly because Emily slept the entire time we were moving. We had no problems leaving door open while we ran back and forth; so it went really smooth. We were both exhausted by the time Matt got home, but not so much Caleb and Emily. My sweet angel that always is asleep before eight decided to stay up until almost eleven. I was ready to just curl up in the fetal position and die. Matt tried to help, but let me just say that it didn't work out so well and leave it at that.

Sunday was the worst. Whit had stayed at a friends the night before and was rather difficult to get up and moving. Once she was home we were off and running. Unfortunately, so was Emily. We have about five doors that lead out of the house and we had several open so that we could move things into the right rooms with ease. Emily made it her mission to find each open door and take off outside. Not a problem until she started heading for the stairs leading down. We spent more time chasing her than we did actually moving.

I took Matt by last night to show him how much progress we had made. He was less than impressed which really annoyed me. Another blog for another day. Ugh.

Today I woke up and because Whit was gone once again; I loaded two dressers into the back of the car. I was scheduled to pick her up early and the plan was to be loaded up and just have her help me unload. We made one trip before the heaven's opened up and the downpour started. Luckily we got the dressers in before the rain. We called it a day and headed back to the old house.

Caleb has a stomach virus which has proven to make this move even more interesting.  Emily is streaking all over two houses, and Matt has decided that while he has no time to help move a single box five minutes away; he has plenty of time to drive an hour to meet the ex because she is afraid to drive in the rain. Bigger UGH.

I had an assignment due today of which I had not even glanced at the chapter. My stomach is giving me issues and I am sick of living between two houses. I want Wednesday to be over and be in ONE house, dangit.

    Rant over...have a great Monday.

"Matt tried to help, but let me just say that it didn't work out so well and leave it at that." I feel ya. Last night I was dogged. I laid Megan in her crib and fell dead asleep the moment my head hit the pillow. I always wake up when Megan's crying...except for last night. Tim had to wake me up after trying "FOREVER!!" to calm her and give me his attitude. MEN!! Sometimes they're amazing (I did forget to mention on my blog that while I was out to the movies Sunday? Tim made dinner...and cleaned up after himself!! *picks jaw off of the ground and swipes at the cat hair that blew in mouth*) and other times you have to wonder about them... Also, on the moving front...yeah...it took me a MAJOR hissy fit last Spring to get Tim to help and I was pregnant!  But, oh what a nice surprise it was to find that the Foreman grill had actually been cleaned last night... *sigh*
