  • New day and a new attitude

Everyone is back under one roof and the countdown to the final moving day is upon us. I realized last night that I had not filmed one second of the move for the video blog I am supposed to be submitting on Friday. Oops, too busy moving and kind of waiting to see if a "momaroo" shirt pops up in my mailbox. Yes, if it all can happen quickly enough; I will be promoting Momaroo during my video blog. Can't forget the people that got me the attention in the first place. More on that when I have some confirmatations. Also, it has got me to thinking about which of my blogs seem to get this kind of attention and which ones seem to get overlooked. Another blog for another day.

Today the rain seems to have subsided and I have just twenty-four hours until the movers get here. My goal is to have nothing but beds and couches left by nightfall. I am seriously down to the stuff that just needs to be thrown in the car and driven over. Dishes, pans, some shoes, etc. The problem is that I have lost my handy helper for the day. Whit goes back to school today and in spite of her generous offer to skip, she is going. That leaves me with Caleb and Emily until two. On the positive side, I have gained three new laborers for after school. Jake has already been told his job will be to stay at the old house and watch the babies. That alone makes the move far easier. Josh's one talent that I can exploit is his ability to lift just about anything, so he will be along for the loading and unloading. We should have this knocked out by dinner time if the weather continues to cooperate.

My goal this morning is to take over a few things and then spend the remainder of the school day just getting things organized. Whit and I did pretty much all of that this weekend, but yesterday we switched dressers so I need to move the clothes around. Caleb and Emily love playing at the "jungle" house, so it should be a fun day for them. Yes, we are all now referring to the new house as the "jungle" house. Darn those Power Rangers.

So, today is a new day and I am telling myself it will be a great one. Hope yours goes well! Tomorrow I blog from the new house!! Yea!!
