  • Arrrggghhhhh

That pretty much sums it up. My day has been, well, let us just say interesting. The rain that seemed to have disappeared magically reappeared while Matt and I were making a quick run over to the jungle house to drop some stuff. I swear it was a freakin downpour right up until we were done getting things out of the cars. The final box was in the house and the sun came out. Well, I guess I did really need a good shower.

Suddenly today Matt seemed to realize that we were moving TOMORROW. Really? I had no idea. I guess that would explain Whitney and I running around like mad women all weekend. He is freaking out because there is still so much to be moved. Again, really? I had no idea. That has just been what I have been screaming about for two weeks.

So, he finally gets the shed cleared of his tools. The same shed that I suggested he empty out two weeks ago. Nothing like waiting until the last possible second. I enlisted Whit and Josh after school and we made three runs to the house. On trip number two I noticed that Whit and I were making two trips from the car to the house to Josh's one. He didn't make the third trip because if you can't keep up you just need to stay at the old house.

Around four I decided to take a moment and check my email. Good thing I did. The movers that I had confirmed TWICE for tomorrow at 8am suddenly decided that they couldn't make it until 2. Yeah, that really isn't working for me since I had my MIL due here at 7:45 to take the babies for the morning. A quick scramble on CL and I think I have movers scheduled at 8. Nothing like a last minute screw up to really make life interesting. I am keeping my other mover's on hold just in case these guys decide to flake out as well. It wouldn't have bothered me so much, but I spoke with her yesterday and all was good. She didn't even call me, just left me an email.

The house is pretty well packed. The look on Emily's face when I took her kitchen out just about broke my heart. She doesn't quite grasp the move thing and just knows that mommy took her favorite toy away from her. I am sick of boxes and tomorrow promises to be a day full of surprises. Wish me luck and I hope to have a happy update sometime tomorrow.

Have a great Wednesday just in case I don't make it by!!

Ugggg. I'm sorry to hear about your movers!! That is ridiculous. I hope you guys get everything done. And Bryce waited until the last minute to pack up all his tools and junk too. He was throwing stuff into his truck bed instead of packing it into boxes. lol. MEN!

BAH! I had friends that were supposed to help the first time Tim and I moved (Tim had to work and he does have a metal rod in his neck that gives him a valid excuse to pass on moving bigger items...); they flaked on me last second! Friends! Ha! I ended up having to recruit my now-best-friend whom I'd never met in person before that day to help me move! And it was just me and him lifting everything from the queen bed to the sleeper sofa! O.o I hope one of the companies comes through for you! (Preferrably the newer one so that you can get it done as planned and you're not giving money to those other jerks! Seriously? Would it have been so hard to just pick up the phone? Especially in that business where someone might've already had their internet disconnected?!)

Poor Em! Any idea how she'll handle the actual living at a new house? Hugs to her!
