• Better days

  Last night was date night. Matt and I had absolutely no destination in mind. When asked what we were doing, Matt would only respond, "leaving". We headed down to the beach thinking that we would just take a nice walk. Apparently our heads have been in the sand and we failed to realize that Spring Break time has started and every college kid west of the Mississippi was in San Diego. Yeah, not so good at the beach.

  We ended up still in the beach area at a nice mexican restaurant that we had never tried. It was happy hour, I had a HUGE margarita...I remember nothing else about last night.

  This morning his parents were heading up for some belated birthday celebrations. They were taking Matt and myself along with the two little ones out for lunch. I have to say; I absolutely adore my mother-in-law and father-in-law. (No, I am not just saying that because I gave her my blog address today and fully expect her to be reading this soon, I really mean it). Matt's dad married his step mother when Matt was around five. She was the one that raised him as well as her two children and Matt's sisters. If anyone knows how I feel in my situation; it is her. She has always been a huge support for me and I simply adore her.

  They brought up the kids birthday presents plus a whole bunch of stuff that they had around the house. Caleb and Em got another huge set of mega blocks and Emily was blessed with a ton of new to her books. She is in heaven. She also got the cutest little Dora purse that she is carrying everywhere. Too cute.

  We had a great lunch at one of our favorite Italian places we  haven't been in ages. It was just a nice relaxing afternoon spent with fantastic people. Caleb was so good right up until it was time to leave. He didn't want NaNa and PaPa to leave, but it was sweet.

  I am off to pick up the mess from the present openings and finish my laundry. I also have to place a quick phone call (don't tell April). I hope you all had a wonderful day and an even better tomorrow!!

  Oh yeah, I look hot right now, so perhaps pictures will be up tomorrow. I even put make up on. Woohoo!!
