  • Home again

I finally booked my tickets for the trip home. Nothing like waiting until the last possible minute. We are leaving the day before my birthday, May 20th, and will return on the 26th. This will be the first time in seven years that I have spent my birthday with my mom. I am a bit freaked out about it.

I do have the support of my three darlings. Whitney, Caleb, and Emily will be making the trip with me. This will be the first time my mother has ever met Caleb. Strange seeing as he is four, but that is just my family. I am looking forward to seeing my oldest graduate high school. Garrett is an awesome son and I know he has a wonderful life ahead of him.

I have lined up all my favorite places to eat that we don't have in CA and will be hitting them all numerous times during the trip. Yes, for me it is all about how many times I can eat at Taco Bueno before I turn ill. Priorities man!

The kids are leaving to visit their mother today. I will have a week with just my three. I am more than a tad bit excited. Easter is always fun and Saturday night we have big plans to dye the eggs in preparation for our big hunt on Sunday. Caleb finally got the jest of it last year, so I know this year he will be helping Em secure her share of the eggs.

It is really early here and Em has a little cold. I am off to cuddle her and prepare myself for the happy nekkid dancing I shall be doing in a few short hours. Have a great weekend!!

May 21... I will have to remember that.

Is Matt not making the trip with you?  I know that you were hoping he would be able to.  That is awesome that the kids will be there with you, though!

Egg dying... I thought about doing that this year because it is so much fun.  And then I realized that no one would eat all of the eggs - because I wont take the time to make them all into deviled eggs!  LOL.  Oh well, maybe another year!  Dye one for me while you are doing it!

Enjoy your cuddle time.  (Im totally jealous!)

@der_lila_Stern@xanga - We decided that Matt would remain home for this trip. It is already a stressful time for me and I didn't want to add the loss of his income for a week to the  list. Trying to figure out the logistics with the other three kids was also turning into a nightmare; so he will stay at home and hold down the fort.

@gwacemom - that is a good reason he is not going!  Im sure it will be good for the kids to have time with him without you around anyway.  (Perhaps it will only help you in the future if there are problems!)

Oh have fun that week! I know the last weekend in May I am going to get to take my car on a roadtrip to Asheville, NC. We are going to dyno my car and Derek's car -- and then go cruising. I cannot wait!

I think the allergies are finally getting to Sean or he has a cold too. He is all stuffed up. Poor man.

I hope your visit home is less depressing than mine! I didn't even have any eateries to visit.
