  • Be glad you aren't me

Lately it seems the theme to my blog is; "be glad you don't live my life". Life around here has been full of the usual nuttiness that comes with have a work-a-holic husband and seven children. Today promises to be  no less nutty.

My sweet angel Emily decided that 6 pm was a perfectly reasonable time to go to bed. I wouldn't have minded if I had been able to go right along with her, but as we can all imagine, that wasn't the case. Matt decided he wanted cake for dessert last  night and wanted me to go along for the ride to get it. By the time we served the cake and ice cream for the kids (of which one actually complained and asked for a milkshake instead) it was almost nine. Perfect, I can go to bed, catch that last episode of The Biggest Loser (oh hush, we all have our vices) and fall asleep.

Not so fast. The moment I hit the play button on the DVR, here comes Caleb with his usual request. Danny Phantom played instead and I fell asleep listening to Caleb "going ghost". At 11:30 Matt's cell phone rang. Work was calling and even though "I" am not on call, I still wake up to hear the problem. I promptly fall back to sleep and wonder if Matt was going to have to go in or not.

At 3:30 I had my answer. My beautiful angel decided that she had slept quite enough and it was time to start our day. Oh goodie. There was Matt asleep next to me, so I guess that answered my question. He left just after 5 which was about the time Jake's first alarm went off. It is Sunday and freak boy has all five of his alarms set to go off starting at 5. The boy needs therapy, I swear.

He came in around 6:30 and laughed because I had been spending the last few hours doing surveys in my quest to get a year of premium without actually paying for it. Hey, I am almost there and what else was I going to do at 4 am?

It is now 10 and I am so tired I am unclear of my own name. I have to make a trip to Wal-Mart (we all know how much I love that) for cake mix and candles. Tomorrow is Alyssa's birthday and I promised her a homemade cake. What was I thinking?

That is my list of all the reasons you should be glad you aren't me. Don't forget to "save the boobs" and that October is Down syndrome Awareness Month.

    Late....snooze

LOL!  Jim and I could come visit and get all of you sick.  Then  the fun would really start!

I really dont understand why premium is such a big allure to me... but I insist upon hoarding my credits so that I can make sure to have it for another year.  I shall go looking for any blogs that I didnt put a comment on for some extra credits for you!  (Although Im not sure there are many of those!)

@der_lila_Stern@xanga - LOL, I honestly have only used the premium to archive my blog, but since xanga refuses to give me my TRUE badge, that little PREM is the only one I get. I went from less than 3000 credits yesterday to almost 20000 today. I might need to blog about my anger over not getting my true badge.

Caleb seriously asked me yesterday if we could go see Sarah and Jim tomorrow. We all miss you guys. Hope you feel better soon!!

@gwacemom - I feel so special!  Why does this country have to be so big?  I would totally come visit again right now if my bank account wouldnt hate me for it (Well, after I wasnt sick anymore)

I can't even imagine how tired you must be taking care of 7 children.

I don't have a true badge either and it drives me freakinggggg insane! lol. And isn't is just FABULOUS when kids decide they are ready to go to bed early and then are up in the wee hours of the morning ready to play? Hope you get some sleep tonight!

"I am so tired I am unclear of my own name." Ah, yes...I reached that point on Saturday morning, went back to bed (post-walk) and then was re-awoken to the lawn guy ringing the doorbell. I had to seriously think about getting up. If I don't get up, Tim won't do anything about it and we'll be getting another nasty-gram from the HOA... I decided I didn't need that headache on top of everything else and got up.
